Kauai Must See Towns and Scenic Views
1. Hanalei:
The town of Hanalei is a charming blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Stroll through its quaint streets lined with local shops and art galleries, or relax in one of the town’s cozy cafes. The relaxed vibe and stunning views make Hanalei a lovely place to spend an afternoon.
2. Waimea Canyon
Known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” Waimea Canyon offers dramatic views and hiking opportunities. The Kalalau Lookout provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the Na Pali Coast and the lush canyon below. It’s a must-see for any nature lover.
3. Haena State Park and Hanakapiai Falls:



Haena State Park is a gateway to natural wonders, including Ke’e beach and the picturesque Hanakapiai Falls. The hike to the falls is approximately 8 miles round trip so be sure to pack plenty of water and good hiking shoes. Reservations are now required for entering Haena State Park in efforts to protect the park and limit visitors. I have another blog post diving into tips if you are wanting to visits Haena State Park. The journey is challenging but rewarding with the sight of the stunning waterfall at the end.
4. Na Pali Coast Boat Tours:
To fully appreciate the awe-inspiring Na Pali Coast, consider taking a boat tour. Most tours do have an age restriction requiring children to be over ages 3 or 4 depending on the charter. Our family toured with Makana Charters on their Seiko which included a smaller group of 16 where we snorkeled and ate lunch. We were unable to bring our daughter along on this tour, so this is where if you are traveling with friends or family to trade off. These tours provide a unique vantage point to see the rugged coastline, dramatic sea cliffs, and hidden beaches.
